Project Description

UberDisplays, in partnership with Anthony James Partners (AJP), completed a full-scale LED display installation at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP), bringing enhanced visibility and functionality across the ballpark. The project’s centerpiece is the Blue Monster, an impact-rated LED screen capable of withstanding baseball impacts up to 80 mph. Covering 1,774 square feet and featuring over 1.5 million pixels, this display delivers clear, reliable visuals for fans throughout the stadium. Over in center field, the Mini Monster — home to the Speed of Pitch display — was installed from the ground up with a newly constructed steel frame and catwalk. Integrated seamlessly from the left field fence, this display provides live pitch speed updates and complements the main outfield screen. Lining the entire right field fence, a 260-foot-long display balances the outfield nicely, greatly increasing the entertainment and advertising opportunities throughout the venue. To support the fan experience from the outfield viewing areas, the new clubhouse ribbon display provides essential game information, including scores, pitch count, and current at-bat details, helping fans stay connected to the action even when watching from underneath the iconic bull. Finally, the backstop and dugout displays are built to handle impacts of up to 130 mph, while maintaining excellent readability even in bright sunlight. Altogether, the installation spans 4,742 square feet and incorporates over 4.2 million pixels, delivering a modern and durable LED solution for the Durham Bulls and their fans.
