UberDisplays, along with Anthony James Partners (AJP), is proud to announce the delivery of a LED installation at the brand-new CarMax Park, home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball team (Richmond, Virginia). The project introduced a fully integrated network of digital displays throughout the ballpark, designed to elevate the fan experience and create new opportunities for dynamic content, highlighting exciting game moments, and boosting sponsorship visibility.
CarMax Park serves as the new home for the Richmond Flying Squirrels and officially welcomed fans for its home opener on April 7th. Designed to accommodate thousands of guests, the venue goes beyond baseball, offering the flexibility to host concerts, festivals, and other events for the community.
The project included a variety of LED displays installed throughout the ballpark, each demonstrating our commitment to quality and innovation, and contributing to a more engaging and visually immersive fan experience. Together, they support everything from live gameplay to in-venue messaging and statistics, helping bring new energy to the venue. Highlights include:

Full Rubberized Scoreboard Display
As the primary video board in the ballpark, this display acts as the anchor of the project, showcasing high-resolution live game coverage, replays, and feature content. The Flying Squirrels’ scoreboard is one of the biggest boards in Minor League Baseball and creates a central focal point that will provide incredible views from every seat in the park. The video board uses UberDisplays’ rubberized product. Rubberized preserves an impressive 126° horizontal viewing angle that ensures great visibility from nearly any seat and can withstand baseball impacts of up to 80 mph.
Ribbon Displays
Spanning more than 400 feet across first and third baselines, the newly-installed ribbon boards use UberDisplays’ 10mm Hydra-TS, a top-serviceable product that makes it possible to maintain the displays without needing a lift or even a ladder. The ribbon displays introduce a continuous space for scoring updates, animations, and sponsor messaging, bringing added energy to CarMax Park.
Outfield Wall Display
Made of our patented Rubberized LED, this display is seamlessly integrated along the outfield wall. Its placement allows for targeted in-game content that will remain highly visible to fans in key seating areas, adding another layer of engagement within the stadium. Additionally, when players make contact with the LED display, the soft, pliable mask of our Rubberized product significantly reduces the risk of injury.
The Power Tower
Standing approximately 34-feet tall, the Power Tower adds a unique visual element to the ballpark. This vertical LED display provides new opportunities for dynamic content and helps take the fan experience to another level of excitement and visibility. The Power also assists fans with disabilities—inside the display, there is an accessibility lift that will provide access to the left field hospitality areas.
Technology consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP) provided overall system design, procurement and construction administration services for the project, supporting coordination among project stakeholders and multiple specialized teams throughout the implementation process.
UberDisplays proudly delivered and supported the installation of our LED systems throughout CarMax Park, working closely with project partners to bring the vision for the ballpark to life. Installation was completed by Talley Signs, with electrical installation support by US Electric. The control system was provided by Ross Video and integrated by Client Solutions Group. From concept to completion, the focus remained on creating a high-impact display experience that enhances how Flying Squirrels fans connect with the game and the venue.
This project at CarMax Park represents an exciting milestone for UberDisplays, AJP, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, and the rest of the project partners. As the team takes the field in their brand-new home, these displays will play an important role in shaping the game-day atmosphere and fan experience. UberDisplays is proud to be part of this project and looks forward to seeing CarMax Park come to life this season and in years to come!
